A brief meeting in a diner turned into a friendship. Many believe the 2 were using each other for personal enhancements; nonetheless Warhol mentored Basquiat prior to their falling out. Sadly, Warhol passed and Basquiat fell into a depression channeling drugs which led to his death from overdosing.
